Art!
I don't kid.
celandineb wrote this wonderful, surreal, dream-like ficlet a few days ago, and it made me want to paint a surreal, dream-like painting. So I did. Read Cel's fic first.
Warnings for dark and surreal and non-typical fanart, but otherwise safe.
Here is the painting. If you click on the image, it gets a little bigger each time. (Flailing at uploading this at a decent size.)

I also zoomed in on the Tom/Harry detail.

This was painted with oil, and therefore could not be scanned, only photographed, so sorry about the quality. This still possibly a work in progress, as I'm not thrilled with all of it, but for now, here it is. Enjoy the weirdness.

I'd love it if you linked this up to the fic! *flattered*
I didn't mean to make islands, but now I see some of the dark clouds as islands myself. Interesting what is in strange abstract clouds that you don't see when making them... :-)
Thanks, Cel!

I think the ambiguity of whether the lower part is sky or water just adds to the surreal feeling, so it worked really well even if it wasn't intentional. *g*
