Title: Black Tie
Author: Cedar
Word Count: 200 (two 100-worders)
Challenge: Dressing up
Rated: PG
A/N: Same scene, two POVs, two drabbles. But where are they going? (truly, I’m asking you :))
He was hopeless with ties. Truth be told, his coarse fingers were never nimble enough for small motor skills: threading needles, small buttons, tying knots. This one was particularly impossible to manage, a multiple looping extravaganza, required by the invitation to ‘help the Muggle guests feel comfortable’.
“Are you going to ask for assistance, or would you prefer to strangle yourself?” asked Severus, immaculate in his black dress attire.
Remus turned to the dour man, fingers wound comically in the black fabric at his neck, pitiful pleading expression on his face.
“Save me?”
The corners of Severus’s mouth twitched lightly.
He had always taken pleasure in watching Remus dress. Somehow, it seemed more intimate than myriad other private things they did together. The new, crisply tailored suit was unexpectedly alluring.
Remus was intensely focused as he worked on his tie in the mirror, oblivious to Severus, the tip of his tongue peeking out the corner of his mouth, procedure eluding him.
Minutes passed. Damn clumsy werewolf.
Severus’s thin, adroit fingers made short work of the tie. He was rewarded with a light touch on his hand, and lingering eye contact in the mirror. It was enough.
“We’ll be late.”
“Yes.”Title: Messengers
Author: Cedar
Word Count: 100
Challenge: International Magical Cooperation
Rated: G
Characters: Remus, Viktor
A/N: Don’t know where this one came from, except that I wanted Remus and Viktor to cooperate, and this is what they did.
After sentencing, Viktor paused near Remus, his voice pitched low.
“Please, sir, vill you tell Herminny…how sorry… tell, I’ll remember her kindness vile I am…away.”
“I will, if you do something for me.” Shaking, Remus pulled out the parchment he had carried all year. “Find this man, when you get there. Give him this, from me.”
Viktor’s eyebrow arched reading the name on the parchment, Severus, but he said, “I vill,” as guards dragged him away, towards Azkaban.
