Hey there, LJ! I have been camped out over at IJ for all of December, basking in the glorious fests, rec'ing and spinning and all sorts of nonsense. I thought I'd drop by here with this info, however...
Whee! Hooray! Woo! Etc.
The Snupin Santa Master List has been posted by wonder-woman McKay.
I am so happy to be able to thank
pikkalam_sri and
eponis for my awesome gifts! Pikkalam_sri's Comic is adorable and aweet, and Eponis's A Wayward Distraction is a lovely love story with some really cool magical ideas in it, plus a soundtrack! Go read and leave them more feedback! They both win!
Here are the two things I wrote for the fest:
Remedy R (The one during the first war where the boys meet up in a pub)
Holy crap! I was first. This was a gift for
captain_tulip and I have to say, if anyone is in a fest and is lucky enough to be writing for The Captain, you have scored. Her comments absolutely blew me away and I was grinning for days because of her. I know I also lucked out by being first in that I got a huge amount of wonderful comments to this story...thank you so much to everyone who commented. Go now and comment as thoroughly on some of the brilliant work that was posted later! ;)
I have to thank
lore for being an excellent, critical beta on this one. She really cracked it into shape, especially the end.
blpaintchart was also invaluable for her Brit-picking, beta-reading, and general support. *hugs you both*
Depth of Focus NC-17 (The one where Severus is a photographer and Remus is a poet)
This was my first attempt at a non-magical AU, and I am really proud of it. It was very fun to transplant the boys to New York. I have to compliment and credit
julythirtyfirst for her amazing prompts. I was inspired by more than one of them.
On this one I owe the big debt to
blpaintchart who patiently read each new bit as I wrote and didn't let me get away with any cheats or easy answers. *mwah*
lore also gave it a once-over at the end, for which I am extremely grateful. *more hugs all around*
Now I must go catch up on reading all the fest fics I have still missed. Yay!

Date: 5 Jan 2008 11:54 pm (UTC)Thank you so much, and of course I noticed you rec'ed "Remedy" during the fest, and did a ridiculous dance of glee.
I really thought I knew which one you wrote (except that then you commented on it and then I had to question my beliefs) and I was completely WRONG, and it turns out that your fic is one still waiting in my reading queue. I can't wait!!

Date: 6 Jan 2008 02:02 am (UTC)Uh, not that I'm surprised that you wrote it, not doubting your talent or.. or.. anything, but that is one of the fics which stayed with me, even to today. I just..... L O V E D it! I can't even remember whether my review was noteworthy or even coherent, or whether I managed to string any words together to even leave a review, because I was so burned out on things Snupin plus a number of other fests I was looking at... but..... *gibbers*
Yeah. OMG, Red...... loved!

I have been staring at your amazing art for Keep Moving ever since it was posted. (I set it as my desktop! I ADORE it.) So take that! You win too! :)

Date: 7 Jan 2008 11:57 pm (UTC)Honestly, you rec'ing Remedy was a major highlight from me in my fandom life, as I adore and admire your recs. Thank you so much for that, I was *beyond* flattered.
I'm not sure what you would think of Depth of Focus...it is a character-driven AU romance (ie, not very dark and not much kink), so not necessarily your thing. Hee. Of course, I'd *love* it if you decided to read it some day. :)))
Thanks again!
