Birthdays, et cetera

Hi lovelies!
Two of my favorite fandom people, magnetic_pole and snegurochka_lee both just had birthdays. I've been a quiet little lurker, but I just had to pop up and say "Hooray!" and "Happy Day!" to you both. I hope, even though we have all drifted in our various ways from our rabid fandom lives, that we'll all still be around these parts, cheering each other on, for a long time to come. *hugs*
In local fan news, I'm still happily embroiled in In the Flesh fandom. I'm working on my piece for the Siren Big Bang, which posts in January. It's actually my first official Big Bang, with an awesome art collaborator and everything! My writing is Slow, with a capital S, so I'm hoping to get a big chunk written over Thanksgiving. The lovely bk7brokemybrain has taken on the thankless job of beta-ing for me, which is beyond wonderful. If only I had time to properly interact and edit like I used to, hon!
(On a related note, you should all watch In the Flesh. In case I haven't mentioned it enough...)

Okay, my brief moment of calm has been shattered by the waking up of the child, so I'd better post before another long set of weeks go by in silence.

Have you seen the new In The Fleshdom Facebook page? https://www.facebook.com/inthefleshdom?pnref=lhc It's a sister page to Sherlockology. They loved ITF so much that they used the tenuous link of Luke Newberry to pimp it. They also have enough pull to start getting great interviews right away.

I'm looking forward to more BB fic from you to beta. Cant' wait to see the art, too. Wow.

Ooo, yay! I read about In the Fleshdom but haven't visited yet. Do you know Mark Watches? markwatches.net? He's watching In the Flesh right now and loving it (at least he was loving it last I read...it's been a couple of days) (Yes, I just checked and he's still gushing about it). Seriously, I keep rewatching it and marveling. It is just too damn good.

Should get the Simon chapter finished enough for you by the end of this weekend. At least, I'd better! I'm excited for my artist, she has been doing some really cool black and white sketches for ITF, and she's totally open to doing all sorts of stuff for my fic. Whee! Now I just need to get more words on paper, and life is just not cooperating. *sigh*

I've been lurkily reading all of your various posts on Sherlock teasers/Martin on SNL/life/etc. It's all pretty damn exciting.

How are you watching ITF? It dropped off on-demand, and I can't recall if I ever had them all in files or not. I'd like to rewatch them but don't have access right now. Frustrating.

Mark Watches is awesome- I've only discovered him recently. He watches shows and blogs as he watches full seasons- basically, he has created my dream job. He also has Mark Reads...

Aw, thank you so much for remembering! It's been a quiet birthday this year--too much end-of-the-semester work and holiday preparation--so the better half has decided we'll declare a weekend in January our rain check birthday dinner and go eat pancakes for dinner or whatever fun things come up then.

Aww, quiet birthdays can be good, as long as you didn't have big hopes for an extravaganza! ;P I had a milestone birthday this year (one that ends in 0 and makes me officially middle aged, I think) and it passed completely unheralded- I was sick and so was the kid, and I never really celebrated. I was just recently thinking of treating next year's really lame birthday year as the big one instead, to make up for it!

Pancakes for dinner. Yes. *nodnod*

Hope you have great holiday weekend as well! My plan involves sneaking in as much sleep as possible amongst the joy and whatnot. Hope whatever your plans, they are calm and peaceful. ENJOY! *hug*

I've been pondering and trying to find inspiration, but nothing has come of my efforts at this point...Lore was luring me as well with "drabbledrabbledrabble" so who knows? Maybe I can drum up 100 words? I don't hear their voices like I used to, though. It's frustrating.
Did you write something?? No matter what I will make an effort to read. End of an era, eh?

I got a bee in my bonnet to watch some episodes of Olli and Christian a few days ago (a little comfort-food style re-watch), which then led to re-reading your Snupin for me following their plotline, and so you've been on my mind. :)
Love that we all still check in occasionally. Such an intense time in my life, and it means a lot to me that it's not just GONE.

Nice to know you're still around. ;) I am sorry that you're not writing, however, as it's something you have a real gift for. Perhaps an original book? That would be wonderful!
